Deano, get off to your local hobby shop and get yourself some Bare Metal Foil. If they don't have any, go to their website
( http://www.bare-metal.com ) and get some.
Using their foil is as simple as it sounds. For a chrome windscreen surround, simply cut 4 thin lengths of the self adhesive foil, carefully place it, burnish it down with something like a Q-tip, then using a new no. 11 X-acto blade, trim the excess off. It really
is that simple.
The stuff is great for masking areas that you don't want to paint - especially good on planes.
The foil is absolutely perfect for chrome trim on the sides of cars, covering those nasty sprue attachment points on chrome parts, and about a hundred other uses.
Try some - It's really good stuff. Good luck!!
