Have a look at www.kienle.com, one of the most renowned restoring companies for the 300 SL. They have some nice shots (also for detailing). If you want to totally accurate, you might want to check out www.mbusa.com (go to Classic Center, then to Technical Literature - they should be able tp provide you with the actual paint codes). In any case you cannot go wrong painting it silver.... Good luck with your project!

German Racing Silver is all you really need. ;)

But there was black , yellow / beige, white and red . I'm pretty sure there was a Silver Blue and a blue.

That being said, I know there are a few books out there on the 300SL, you could probably go parouse one at a Borders / B&N type place. :)
