Pete -
You might also check a crafts or sewing shop somewhere near you for braided cord. These places usually have different colors and thicknesses, so you may be able to find a silver cord that will work well for you braided lines. If you're searching for a different color, you can paint the cord any color you desire. When cutting to length, you just touch the end of the cord with CA glue to keep the ends from fraying.

Check out FSM's advertisers for braided hose, Model Car garage etc.
Or use solder of an approximate size, roll over a file to put a pattern in the soft solder and cut to length.

I know it's only rock and roll, but I like it.

Braided hoses: scaling for Tamiya's Ferrari Enzo

Does anyone have any suggestions for adding a couple of braided hoses to Tamiya's Ferrari Enzo in 1:24?
These are in the engine compartment in the full size car but not in the model.
Cheers, Pete.
