Hello vector123 ! The hovercraft is an elusive beast isn,t it ? You can prowl your local TOYS ARE US and similar venues for the toy versions that come along once in a while ,Oh , and RADIO SHACK had an R.C. hovercraft toy for a while . I know they,re not models , but, they will give you enough ideas that you should be able to build your own . The ITALERI L.C.A.C. is a hovercraft by the way, so modelwise you could start there .Scratch building one isn,t that hard ,Except , the skirt ,but I use doubled strips from black garbage bags there .The whole idea behind the machine is that it has capabilities that make it prime for certain jobs and missions , you need a powerplant for the forward and reverse motion as well as an individual (prefered ) power source for the lift phase, plus the necessary ducting .You also must provide turning ability provided by a source other than the lift system .Therefore ,like an airboat you need directional nozzles or rudders for that. Your local library should be able to help you with reference materials. I think there was an article run in this very magazine on that subject if I,m not mistaken ,but , I don,t remember which issue . tankerbuilder
