Once all the parts for the model are test fitted it's now time to get on shaping it. The spinner centered tells me how much material could me removed. The spinner are cut on a mini lathe.... It is apparent where the spinner will center to show a cross section of the models sponson. My next installment will be to show how I get the graphics on these fuselages I use cardstock to make my layups. Also I made a new set of plaster casts to make a lot of spinners.

This model has been a very temperamental construction. But since it's in the build stage I figured out ways to make the model more robust ,yet solid when someone picks it up. You know the types suddenly the model ends up in their hand an anything can happen. I'll be making a third on in the coming days to show off. Junk wood is very cool.

Nice model...I met Burt Rutan via the 1:1 project back in 1994ish. He and I were in an CAD company's advertising campaign back then, and he found out that I had 3D scanning and complex surfacing skills...he contacted me and I told him how I used CAD for blended fuselage surfaces. I will be interested in seeing the finished model.

Just a Note ;

 No harm , No pun . I would appreciate Tanker - Builder rather than Tank - Builder . Why ? Well, you see , folks used to get me confused with a fellow who's interest was building Armor . Nope , I build Ships !     P.S.      I know you didn't mean it and I shouldn't be so fussy so actually , s' okay.    T.B.
