Fokker F28 Fellowship wip

Since All I really wish to do is expand my collection I find myself making models of traditional display. The problem is that this model is rather large measuring 19 inches nose to tail by 18 inches across the wings. There were several regional carriers to use the type. Since I'm only room for one model I can apply two  airlines to one model on either side. They work well as viewers have no idea there is a paint scheme on the others side. The tail art is accomplished with a template or layup as it's known in graphic art. The overall lines are similar from the Horizon side to the Ontario side. I can go with oval windows at this point.

HorizonAir/Alaska is a mainstay for the west coast but have retired the F-28 years ago. AirOntario is just a neat scheme to have.

At this point It's time to get to shaping the model. And work on layups for windows and refrence points to shape the model.

I flew on the Horizon F-28 several times, as Horizon/Alaska is a regular in Boise.  My last flight on the F-28 was from Portland to Boise, I swear the pilot thought the thing was a fighter, must have been the "F" part.  We were making some pretty steep turns, I remember the flight attendant telling us that the pilot didnt like being delayed and he was making up time.  LOL

On the Bench:  Lots of unfinished projects!  Smile
