TWA Boeing 727-200
Posted by Fly-n-hi on Friday, June 15, 2012 9:43 PM

Here's my latest build.  Actually, it's been 90% complete since December but I have gotten married and moved between now and then so I really wasn't able to get much done.  It's my first for 2012, too.

The kit is the Hasegawa 1/200 727-200.  It's OOB with some scratch antenna and a beacon light.  The decals are from Airliners America or ATP maybe...not sure.

Hope you like it:

Thanks guys.

7474, the color is actually light ghost grey.  I didn't have any Boeing Grey at home so I just eyeballed it.

I also like these in HughesAirwest. TWA was always something we seen landing here in Spokane

Very nice and I am very interested.

I have some Minicraft 1:144 727-200's but I want to get all 4 TWA liveries on them.  Project Skinny is easy enough.  But where Can I find the other three?!

Joy Decals has the Twin Globe livery.  Ebay has this sheet for the twin stripes version.  Looks like you have to paint the stripes yourself, though.

This site has tons of decals, too.

The twin globe looks perfect.... except I need a stretch (200).  Bummer.

Thanks for re-posting the pictures and congratulations on your wins.

the 727 looks amazing.

Now how did he get those teeny passengers to pull the window shades part way ?
