Eva Air B777-300ER
Posted by BradShinn on Monday, March 31, 2014 6:10 PM
Hi all, Here is a 1/200 Hasegawa B777-300ER with Eva Air livery by Nazca decals. I made the build to look like she is on a short final. The flaps/slats. are made from styrene. I also extended the landing gear and flexed the wings. Brad....that is a simply outstanding model.  How did you do the flaps?  They look fantastic.

One thing I do know....that you never, ever see a commercial airliner with the flaps down when its on the ground.....FOD damage, and reduction of fuel requirements for taxiing.....BUT.....you must have done a great deal of scratchbuilding to make that beast.  Very, very nicely done.

Cheers, LeeTree

I am going to try 1:200.   When I first tried 1:144 I thought it was pretty small, but then I was mostly building older (and hence smaller) aircraft.  I have seen several very nice models of the newer, larger airliners, so am ready to give it a try!

Yes Don, 1/200 for a 777 is not that small. Plenty of room to experiment with!
