Lindberg's 1/32 Gee Bee

I actually stopped into the hobby shop and picked up on of the Williams kits. While there I saw a 1/72 scale R1 and R2 from Amodel(?).

should be a fun little collection by the time I'm all done.

Those Lindberg kits are problematic, but it depends on your building skill. I recently did the Laird Turner.  Used a resin engine and completely scratchbuilt the interior (the interiors on those kits are the worst parts).  Turned out pretty nice.

Also had to fill backs of prop blades and wheel struts, make some new airscoops (kit ones wrong shape).  Don't remember the GeeBee that well, haven't built one of those in decades.

I realize this is a bit late to the party but,

I recently picked up this kit at a sidewalk sale. The kit is marginal.  I had to do a lot of sanding and refitting of parts. The decals are incorrect (with regard to the markings on the side of the fuse.)

Neat little model, but not for the scale purist.

I might pick up the Lindberg as well, but I'll definitely get the Williams Brothers kit. Thanks for the reply!

I would go for the Williams Brothers Gee Bee's, Lindberg kits are very old moldings, and not near as accurate or detailed.  The Williams kits are in the limited run categtory for building ease, but are very nice when done.  I'm building the Lindberg Turner Special right now, and there is a lot of scratch building going in to it.  Unfortunately, there is no alternative for the Turner Special.
