Civil aircraft kits wanted
Posted by Don Stauffer on Thursday, May 13, 2010 9:13 AM

We have had several "what kits would you like to see announced." threads.  I was talking this over with a friend the other day and we decided on a couple of badly needed kits.  And, my wallpaper cycles through several old planes.  This morning the Boeing 307 was up.  Reminded me how much we need a good kit of that.

1.  Ford Tri-motor.  We need a top quality kit of that- say a Tamiya, Trumpeter, Hasagawa, or Revell-Gr, in 1:72

2.  Boeing 307.  Sure, not many were made, but it was a landmark in technology.

3. A really good DC-3.  Not a converted C-47, but a real, built-from-the beginning DC-3 version.

I second the 307, then I could build a C-75. I find it fascinating that they were impressed into WW 2 service along with their CIVILIAN PILOTS !!

I definitely want a 307, as long as its in 1/48 scale!  In fact I'll take two!  One to convert to C-75, one to leave in civil markings!
