Closed up the fuselage. Turns out the pics I took before I did that, of the interior, were terrible. Lots of movement blur, even though I used flash. I guess there was enough light that much of the image came through before the flash occurred. Oh well.
The windshield, like the side windows, is slightly too large and must be trimmed down. As I was thinking about that, though, I guess it is better to have the transparencies too large than too small :-)
I am holding the door (seperate piece) in place on the left fuselage side with thin strips of masking tape so that I can pull it off after painting. That way I should be able to make sure the paint on the door matches the rest of the fuselage in that area.
Had a real goof on the engine. The ignition wiring loom is supposed to go on the main engine piece before the nose casing and pushrods. I forgot and didn't notice until the setup dried. I was able to cut all the pushrods at the rocker boxes and weave the loom in around the cylinders and I reglued the pushrod tubes last night. Have not had a chance to see how well it turned out, yet. Take care assembling that engine, there are a lot of parts.
I think I am going to do most painting with the upper wing off, then put on the painted top wing and touch up the joint. Taking no pics at this stage 'cause with it partially primed and painted it looks terrible.
