Beautiful. I have a Connie in my stash, and your post gives me an incentive to get to work on it!

That's a beauty! Looks fantastic.Beer I have the 1/72 scale Super Connie with custom decals in my stash. I should have gone with 1/144 instead but the particular decals I wanted was available in 1/72 only. Did you use Alclad for the metal finish?

Thanks for your reply.  The end of the school year is a crazy time at our household so I haven't done much in the modeling arena.  Another outstanding build!  I love this plane and your model looks terrific.  Please keep them coming.

Very nice, i managed to botch this kit very badly last year. Tried doing it with foil, didnt work so well.

Yours looks very nice though.

Thanks for the comments guys.

plastickjunkie  No Alclad.  I'm just getting used to painting colors with an airbrush, no where near ready for metal finishes yet.  I used plain ole Model Master silver enamel brushed on for this one.  Not real noticeable unless you are standing over it.

[Scorpiomikey[/b]  I would love to do one in the dull aluminum foil but I get more stuck to my fingers than the model.  I'm waiting for the best adhesive to come along so I can use regular kitchen foil, the dull side looks best to me.

bondoman I had the 1/122 and got it started before I found out it wasn't 1/144.  I thought it was odd that it wasn't the same size as the Minicraft kit.  This one is the newest release that is supposed to be real close from what I've read.  The kit decals did real well using MicroSol.

Sweeeeeet!!!!! I've had my eye on this for awhile, and yes, 1/144 rules for airlines. Just to be clear, this is the Revell-Germany one, correct? You are doing amazing things with a brush, kg4kpg, which is good, because it goads me to do better with my own brushwork.

Yep, Revell-Germany.  A LHS had a couple (only airline kits they had in stock) so I grabbed one.  I should have gotten both but I didn't have fifty bucks on me to do it.  The decals for the Lufthansa scheme are pretty nice as well so I guess they'll sit until I ever run accross a kit with no decals or someone needs them.
