The Flivver looks great!  Many folks stay away from Williams Bros. kits because they have picked up a bad reputation.  But the Flivver is one of their best. I completed one several months ago and also had very few problems.  There are some WB kits that have lots of flash and bad fit, but others are not bad at all, and the Flivver may well be their best.

Congratulations on your First Class award. Your Ford Flivver looks like it was well deserved.

As to the P-38 , I assume it was not in the same category as the Ford, which would lead me to believe the competition was such that your entry was judged to be not on par with those that received an award.

Reguardless, Congratulations again, to you, for your award

Steve

This is the Ford Flivver, a cute little 300lb plane from the 20's and 30's. It was a fun build and very shiny. I built this to prove a point, that a Pretty Shiny plane will win first long before a weathered plane will. I also posted a P-38 that is lightly weathered and did not place with it but got First with the Flivver, point proven. This kit was a fun build though and went together with NO fill anywhere. Enjoy!!

Thanks For Looking,
James
