Hi fellow modellers - Bank Holidays in my household means 3 days of tinkering in the workshop, so to get ready and prepared for this weekend, I visited my local craft centre in Wokingham last weekend and grabbed a £11.99 Revel A319 kit from the shelf which was looking rather short of stock and limited in interesting subjects to build. I fly on these BA A319/20's once a month down to Gibraltar so I felt inspired to finally have a go at the kit having often picked it up but put back on the shelf. So for £11.99 for the kit, and approx £7 for materials to produce the base, and about 30 hours of tinkering time, this is waht I came up with  - please enjoy ....

Nice work. I'm digging the diorama idea there.  Is it me, or does the runway look to be in larger scale than the 319? Anyway, looks cool ! !

Nice job! An interesting scene.

Not to nitpick but the bus should have some flaps/slats out for takeoff

I was thinking the same thing.. About the only airliners I can think of that use no flaps for takeoff are a Fokker 100 and I believe an ERJ-145

yes - I know I know ---  the base was built as an afterthought - hence the ommision of the flaps at 10 degrees.

Yeah, if time allowed, it probably would have been mete to have about 15ยบ of bank into a left-hand (command) turn by the time you get to V4 and the EOR stripes pass underneath.

Short turn-and-bank t/o like that bring back memories of riding SWA out of Austin Mueller, which had power settings and over-flight restrictions--all in hot, thin, Texas summer air.

Some of the turboprops. The Saab 340s I'm flying, we do a lot of flaps 0 takeoffs, but because we usually have 9,000 ft runways. the only time we use flaps, is a flaps 15 t/o out of Key West, that's about 4,800 ft long.

It's a great build, just one little critique. Airliners normally don't rotate that far down the runway, we're 100-200' above that part of the runway.
