Nice little glider. I have one of these kits sitting in a drawer. I've always been partial to the L13 because I had a ride in one, and it's lines are so clean... Makes me a little nervous tackling the kit after reading about the issues you had...  :)

The issues sound worse then theyreally where.
The problem with interior was my own fault, just a quick look on the box shows you the CAD/CAM drawing with the correct position of the seats.
The decals are indeed very fragile but this can be solved reasonably easy with some Microscale Decal Film.
So the only real problem is the fit of the wing. I forgot the say that it is a butt joint and I thus reinforced it with brass rod. I would classify the fit of wings as the only "real" problem area.

Nice builds.  We have a glider school not far from us.  Have been thinking of going out and giving it a try.  Must be fun to be up there with nothing but the sound of the air rushing by.

Don't see sail planes much or even the tugs like the Piper Pawnee.. Nice model.

That is true. But I have a small collection of sail planes. Most of them are old ZTS Plastyk kits of Polish gliders (these have recently been reissued). I have found these "dirt cheap" (€ 1,- a piece) on vendor tables.

Here are some of my other sailplanes, Jantar, Gill, Bocian and Sepp;

If you treat it like a short run build then it is quite an easy build. I think I build it in less then 3 weeks (not counting the period I shelved it), which is pretty fast for me.

Due to habit I posted this build in the military aircraft forum whilst it should have been posted in civil aviation. I recently finished this Profiline LET-13 Blanik. The build had a few challenges. The fit of the canopy, the posistion of the interior components, fit of the wings and decals. Now that I put it all together it sounds worse then it was... A full build report can be found here:
