Mach 2 Convair!
Posted by Don Stauffer on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 3:25 PM

Whoops, that should have been a Mach 2 Convair!  I did google the kit and found a few comments from other forums, that made the kits sound pretty bad. In fact, one of the online hobby shops selling the kit rated it only one star out of four!

Does anyone else make a Convair twin?  I know Monogram made a T-29 that I assume could be converted without too much trouble, but I think that kit is pretty rare!

I think it was Hawk and later Testors that made the little T-29. Execuform has a few Convair twins so pick your poison there. IIRC someone makes some resin 1/72 Convair twins, but I think only the turbine versions.

Speaking of HAWK brand............I recall seeing this HAWK kit on the hobby shop shelves back in the mid 1960s

Now that Round2 has HAWK molds.......hopefully they will re-release it.

I didn't have the cash for the kit as a child...............but would like one now.
