Resin kit figure painted with Tamiya and Model Master paints. The face was done with oils. The map was made from scratch, as well as the cigarette but at his feet. The wood base was straight from Hobby Lobby. Your feedback or thoughts are welcome.

Nice!  I like the sheen on the leather jacket - sure looks right.  I've got the waist gunner kit with the b-17 section and the figure is about done.  But I lost the instructions in several moves and can't figure out how to build up the 50 cal.

Anyhow - really nice work.

Thanks,

John

Thanks everyone. I was giong for the 1,000 yard stare of a pilot going up against the odds one more time. It is one of my best figures that I will be sharing. I am still getting into the hang of this figure stuff.

Hey D,

You did an awesome job on this figure. When it comes to figures I immediately go to the face and hands, and on this figure I feel that you've captured that 1,000yd stare. This is an all-around great model.

That is very nicely done, great job on the face, the most challenging part i think. I think you have nailed the look.

Awesome job! Painting figures is one of the hardest things to get right. They either come out fantastic or they come out bad. You nailed the fantastic. Now you just need a 1/16 B17 to accompany the figure! LOL!

Kick the tires and light the fires!
