Are there any kits, besides the dragon and academy IDF infantry kits? Is there any kits out there that are affordable? Or could I convert british WWII figures?

i haven't found any. i am planning on using british desert troops for any '48 and '56 builds. i think the idf  still had the old "atom ant" us taker helmets in '67 so some american tank commanders might work, especially if they are in the turret. i use soviet tank crews for arab crew members, just paint them swarthier.

That sounds about right, but every time I read about the Israeli army during these wars and the infantry employed, they always say they use paratroopers, I have the dragon paratroopers, idk i just find it kinda funny

IDF forces in June '67 used a mish mash of uniforms and gear. Uniforms could be of US, French, or British origin. Not to mention headgear, web gear, weapons, etc. What units are you looking to model? Reserve armored infantry are fitted out far different than the paratroopers or tankers.

What would reserve armored infantry look like, in contrast to paratroopers?

Here is a photo in Jerusalem of some reserve mech infantry types, note the Tommy style helmets, US or French type fatigues, and Brit WWII web gear as well as the Mauser rifle

Compare that to these Paras with their French made "Lizard" camo uniforms and Brit Para Helmets

Thank you, I thought the helmets of paratroopers somewhat resembled british para helmets. Would the lizard cam be like the kind worn at dien bien phu?

Yes, it's a light green base with dark green and reddish brown stripes... The French also used that stuff in Algeria

No, the US spotted/frog pattern has four colors on the base color, the French "lizard" pattern is closer in style to Vietnam era "Tiger" pattern, but with only two colors of stripes on the base color.
