Hi folks!
I'd like to announce my new figure project:
It's going to be some character-figures (only 3 figures at most) representing Space Marines of the Horus Heresy era (Warhammer 40k)
I'm into Warhammer 40k for a while now (not the game, the background stories) and read some novels published by Games Workshop.
After I read the book "Betrayer" I wanted to build myself some "World Eaters" figures. It's not for the tabletop game, but for the sake of just building and painting the figures (I'll still put them on the little supplied bases though)
This is just a fun-project for me and I'll work on it when I need a short break from classic modelling of real vehicles, so progress on this will be slow. I hope that some of you still follow this and maybe give me some tipps on how to improve the look of my figures.
I think most of you have little or no knowledge about Warhammer 40k (I can't blame you for it), but if you are interested on the background story of this project, just have a look at the lnks below:
Warhammer Wiki (for all information on the Warhammer universe)
World Eaters (my army) Only the pre-heresy and Horus Heresy parts are relevant for this project
Angron (their Primarch)
I really love this Science Fiction universe and I think it's worth having a look at it...
I'll just give you a short introduction on how I want my figures to look like:
Firstly, the whole World Eaters army (except a single type of unit) wears white armor with blue shoulder pads. They are basically bloodthirsty berzerkers who have brain implants which turn them into killing machines. This means that my figures will feature a lot of blood stains on their armor and loads of melee weapons.
All of this will sound like complete nonsense to you, but I hope at least some of you like the idea and probably look at the links as well...
Here's a nice artwork of a World-Eater in his armor:
And here's one of Angron:
Just one last note: I wont paint my figures like those on the GW website, as I don't like that "cartoony" look. I'll try to keep the colors as "realistic" as possible.
I really hope you like the Idea of it...
Cheers, Clemens
