Understand that I probably wont find scale figures with chutes and reserves, but trying to find decent figures in 1:35, 1:48, and 1:72 of US paratroopers. Seems most of what I have been able to find are pre-posed figures in pseudo fighting stances. I need a lot in standing, sitting, or reclining positions. More than likely, I'll have to create my own figures rigged up and will have to learning molding techniques, but any assistance finding half-way decent figures would be greatly appreciated!
Monogram's (now Revell's) 1/48 C-47 kit comes with 8 WWII era US paratroopers rigged up in standing poses. Try posting this question in the figures forum for more help...

I'll ask the moderators to move it to the Figure forum.
To the specific question, try CMK, Czech Master Kits, they have very good figure kits.

Many thanks! Spent four years in a airborne LRRP team in Europe and have lots of photos (late 1970's) and would like to concentrate on dioramas (choppers, C-123s, C-130s, and will have to wait for a reissue of the C-141).
You got it, Trooper! I also recommend looking at Verlinden's catalog, I don't know why I didn't think of that before. Especially for WWII-era paratroopers.
I do not recall Verlinden doing any US paratrooper figures in the harness in any scale. Although they do make lots of US WWII airborne figures in the M1942 jump suits. Andrea does do one that is rigged up in 54mm White Metal IIRC. There is also one in 1/72 by Italeri that comes with either the CG-4A or Horsa Glider kits, along with a standing pilot figure. I have not built either one of those kits for nearly 40 years now, so it is hard to remember which had that figure, but I do specificly remember that figure coming with one of thos glider kits.

Ah, thanks, Stik, good point, that was part of his request, wasn't it. You're correct, Verlinden has 54mm US airborne troops, but they're in combat poses, post-drop.
CMK has some good 1/48 figures in WWII suits and gear that are rigging up and would work nicely with the Monogram figures. But really the pickings are pretty slim across all scales for this particular genre.
