Smoke Grenades
Posted by Huey638 on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 6:05 PM

I have seen some JPEGs of equipment with smoke grenades.  They also seem to be big.  I recently ordered some 1/32 M18 grenades, these are very, very small. 1/4".  Is it a photo effect?  If my model is a 1/32, shouldn't the grenade also be 1/32??

Thanks in Advance

That sounds like the right size for 1/32 M18 grenades.  They are not that big.

Tape measure reads the diameter at 2-1/2" (63.5mm); body 5-7/16" (138.1mm) long; and 6-3/4" (171.45mm) from bottom to end of the fuze assembly.

At 1:32, that's 0.078125" (1.98mm) diameter; and 0.1699" (4.31mm) long.

At 1:35 that's 0.0714" (1.81mm) diameter; and  0.15535" (3.94mm) long

Note that there are LE (and AirSoft) smoke grenades that use a 30 x 125mm body (≈1.5 x 5")
