I've found that Model Master RAF Middlestone works very well for khaki on M-41 field jackets and web gear. Remember, the variation in "khaki" ran from a light (almost white) beige, to a sage green. Then they made things even more interesting in 1943 with the introduction of OD Shade 7 (a much darker OD green). Pretty much anything in those ranges will be acceptable for WWII GI stuff.

I use (these are all Model Masters)
Afrika Khakibraun for the M1941 jacket, leggings, and web gear
Ollive Drab for the pants
Green Drab for helmets
Leather for boots (with a heavy black wash)

Now keep in mind I work in !/35 and that I wash and drybrush everything.

For the m1941 field jacked i use tamiya's dark yellow and it works well. For the other jackets, i have the book Uniforms of World War II and i have mixed paints together to get the desired effects. I post more info when i get home hopefully

US Infantry WWII

Ok, I'm sure this has been asked to death, but I'm going to ask it again. I need to know what color paints to use for the standard US infantry in WWII (Both the 1941 field jacket and stuff and 1944). I use model master paints on my tanks, so I'd like to keep it in the family. They are usually 1/72 scale figures, so they are so small (and in tight cramp spaces in tanks) that I really don't have to worry too much about shadows and highlights. So, what colors in Model Masters paints would best suit my needs?
