when i'm not using my shop compressor for pnumatic tools i operate, i use it for my finer arts, like airbrush painting of my models. works great. just use a good moisture seperator with your system.

While any compressor will work, you should try and get one with a holding tank for the air, these work by running the compressor for a few minutes to presurise the tank, then the compressor shuts off and you spray from the pressure in the tank. The reason this is better is that it avoinds the pulsing so often associated with compressors.

Yes, any compressor will work. Check out this thread at Armorama for a good option. http://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=SquawkBox&file=index&req=viewtopic&topic_id=29266&page=1

Hi, I'm just starting out and need a lot of info. I want to get an air brush and compressor. Will any compressor do or do I need a special one for air brushing. Also what type of air brush is best? I was thinking one for really fine lines and one for larger areas. Any info would be a great help because there are no hobby stores where I live.

Thanks
