I love that kit!

You're doing a great job on it, too. I like the colors you've chosen.
When do the rats go on??

Keep us posted with your progress!

He's been there a heck of a long time! I'd really fade the clothing down or seriously stain it. As his decomposition took place, bodily fluids would affect the clothing as they seeped out.. I'd reduce the white on the bones, leaning to minimally an off white cream color but more like a light brownish color with white highlightson the teeth, though staining his teeth browninsh and blackinsh will give a more period look, when dental hygiene was not what it is today.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

Is this model related to the old Monster Model kits from the 60's & 70's...I used to have quite a few of them, Wolfman, Godzilla, Phantom of the Opera, etc...also does anyone know of any "Pirates of the Carribean" models? Oh by the way...Looking Good...can't wait to see the finished product, and don't tease us - let's see that tank in a few closeups, nicely done! Huck.

This kit was one of the original Aurora monster series. MPC released a whole series of Pirates of the Caribbean kits with each one featuring some kind of movement. Haven't seen those in years.

Thanks for the info Themage & Keyworth, that model sold for over $56.00 on E-Bay, I have a new mission while out to garage sales & flea markets. Anxious to see updates on your build Themage. Thanks again Huck.
