I use that particular brand of paint as well I find that if I use distilled water to thin them a little before use that they leave no or very little brush marks.... I'm afraid that having now used the Vallejo range of paints I prefer them to the Citadel and will begin moving over to them as my stash of Citadels run out.

i used Citadel Acrylic paints, these paints go on very smooth and leave no brush marks to speak of. i bought these paints from, of all places, a comic book shop that stocks WarHammer figures. so you will probably have to go to a shop that have war gaming products to find this paint.

hope this helpsBig Smile [:D]

here is the figure i put together

on the right hand side you can see the product that i told you about (the tin can with the brown label) Easy Lift Off from Polly S

i used CA to put the figure together and used Squadron Green Putty mixed with Testors Liquid Cement for the seams, thinned to a kinda soupy consistency and applied with an old paint brush, then used Denatured Alcohol and Q-Tip to smooth out the seams

hope this helps Smile [:)]

Thank you for your help, it is much appreciated
Will get some of the product you suggested within the next week or 2.

Yes it is the Horizon Vinyl Figure - I've not done a vinyl figure before and I am a little nervous but as this particular model is 75% already built I think I should be able to finish it off reasonably well.

i did this figure a couple of onths ago with the same problem. i used Polly S ELO (Easy Lift Off) Paint and Decal Remover #552144. I did not have any problems with this product and it was very easy to use. just use Q-Tip or paper towel to apply and wait a couple minutes till the paint starts to wrinkle then wipe off with paper towel or old rag. any decent hobby shop should have this in stock.

P.S. is this the Horizon vinyl figure??

hope this helps Big Smile [:D]

Hubby, madmike gave me a Vinyl figure of the X-men's Wolverine unfortunately it has not been painted very well and it needs finishing in the building department before I repaint it.

Can anyone advise me as to what to use to remove the paint without damaging the vinyl?

Cheers
