I hope this isn't off topic, ESCI came out with an SAS landrover in 1:24 kit# 3037, some time in the eighties. A reasonable source for a Bren MG and some radio equipment in that scale. And, I think, Hasegawa came out with a 1:24 military Jeep recently.

nzgunnie and ajlafleche hit it right on the mark as far as that subject scale is concerned.
Also,
  • From BAN DAI, from Cowboy Bebop the Mono Racer Sword Fish II kit#0077174-2000 has three figures included that are between generic and Anime style, all 1:24.

  • And then there is ITALERI with the Truck Accessories set#720 in 1:24. Three civilian, scary looking figures, two standing, one sitting.

  • TAMIYA's helmeted rally drivers and navigators for the rally car sets#36 and #54. There are a few more rally sets from them. All seat belted and hollow backed. If you see people in the box art of the car, there are figures in the kit.Wink [;)]

  • TAMIYA's Nissan Loepard TRX Turbo set has a seated, barely modified (from the rally style dudes) civilian with a non-helmeted head and a very distressed look on his face. Also seat belted and howwow back.

After you find what you need, re-post the subject with your source results. You may have uncovered some other sources for this scale figures.

Tamiya and fujimi make sets designed for use with their range of cars and trucks. I think 75mm (or perhaps it's 90mm) are about the same as 1/24, and this is quite a popular scale.

You might still be able to find Tamiya's "campus friends" set. There are some mechanic sets out there, too. Last resort, look up Jimmy Flintstone.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.
