Gene ;

 I just recently started downloading some models  .I am using " Georgia Pacific" 110 # - 92 Bright -8.5" x 11"  product myself .It works great .It isn't to heavy for shaping and yet is strong in areas like , set up and dried frames etc .    T.B.    I got it at , I believe , Office Depot .

The original Tacky Glue work for general building, but the rapid tack and the clear come in handy as well. I buy the big bottle of original and small of the others, some times you can find a assortment pack that has all 4 kinds, gives you a chance to try them out. I use a small piece of plexyglass (about 3X4") and put the glue on it then use a toothpick to apply it, you only need a very thin layer. And once the glue dries on the plex it will peel right off........Rich

Thanks for the Office Max recommendation.

I was just in the local Hobby Lobby with 40 pct coupon planning to buy Aleen's glue only to find many types of Aleen's glue.

Which is best for card/ paper models?

I get my cardstock at Office Max. Sometimes all their papers are on sale.  They don't have a big selection of weights, but what they have I find useful.

Thanks.  I have Aleen's, I've used it on my plastic kits with good results.  I have to find some good card stock in 8-1/2"X11".

...........         If you want to color your own , use the airbrush and very thin coats of acrylic paint ,  After ,  shooting the paper with a good quality craft - clear spray .

Tankerbuilder:
I've been considering  doing something similar for a tank kit after erasing the color in the drawings.
Unfortunately, the colors used for the WWII German tank exteriors look a bit too bright for my taste.

Cardstock paper ( Lightweight ) smooth finish, not photo finish . Glue , Aleen's- tacky glue, works best ! Hobby Lobby sells it , as well as Wal - Mart and Micheal's , Probably Miers too . After a couple of recent posts of paper kits, I've purchased and downloaded some from ecardmodels, and would like to try a couple, just for fun.  I'm wondering what paper is usually used to print these things out on (is photo paper good, since it would give a good finish?) and what glue is best to use to assemble them.

Just finished a styrene T-6.  Your post led me to the vendor of your model- I think I will download one of the silver US versions today.

Cool plane, Rich. Do you have  work in progress pics of the build?

No every time I start taking build photos, the photo curse strikes! Several times I  have taken pics of a build and half way through something happens, the dog eats it, or a soda gets spilled on it, or something!! But if you click the link in the post, Dave does a step by step build of a AT-6 that is VERY good to see how to build a paper model.....Rich

That Texan looks great, Rich!

Thanks a bunch for posting the links, I've been most curious to learn something about these clever models, and how they actually go together.

Here is my build of Dave's Card Creations AT-6 Texan. It's a 1/33 scale paper model, downloaded and printed at 1/24. Like all of Dave's models the fit is first rate even when enlarged. He has a bunch of AT-6's at his site, even some air racers......Rich
