Well , How do I start this ;

    I went to the Alamo Squadron - I.P.M.S. show and contest Saturday and got a very pleasant surprise . The paper on display and in competition was nothing short of Amazing . Especially considering this is the first time their has been a class .

    Would you believe a collection of what appeared  to be 1/144 custom cars ? And the planes were exceptional too .

 A very pleasant surprise indeed .   Tanker -Builder

Not the first.  I think the class is a few years old.

I believe he means the first time there has been a category for paper models at ModelFiesta.

That is my Spad SA-2.  The Central Arkansas Scale Modelers have had a paper model category for as long as I can remember, and the Red River Modelers have had a paper model category for at least three years (if I remember correctly, that pic is at RiverCon contest).
