Okay, this is a bit off-topic, but hopefully not too far.  I was reading a biography of physicist Richard Fynman.  He was part of a discussion group that discovered these things in the thirties.  Not really a model, unless these things were part of equipment carried in paper UFOs  :-)

They use the same building techniques and materials as paper models, so you might want to google these things.  Many sites have colored templates/patterns.

Just type flexagon into google.  There are a bunch of good links that show up near the top.  Saves me having to paste all those URLs.  Don't know which is best.
