Pretty basic none scale snapfit kit from Bandai. Its a very small model around 10cm long.

Next is the review of runners compared to its 1978 model.

This comparison is just for fun to show how bandai improved over the decade.

Some really excellent molding in here this is one piece, the detail is on the inside wall though when this is built you wont really see this its around 1mm to 2mm high.

the bridge its around 1cm long and only compose of 2 parts. highly detailed

A method i invented over the years. its a mixture of super glue and baby powder mixed together to create a putty it dries really fast so you can create layers of it. i also used this method to lengthen foots of my mecha's.

Added a few bits here and there and its ready for painting

after priming with mr surfacer 1000 i mixed some mr color light green, black and sky gray for the main color.

and after that masking and painting and this kit will be done by tommorow.

The arrow on the launch deck is colored black on the anime but i decided to go with dark gray instead

And finally on the last part of the painting the bee eye like panel in front is supposed to be yellow but i made it to mettalic yellow, I first spray mr metallic super stainless and then mr hobby clear yellow

nearing the end

now the washing

i mexed 30% dark sea gray tamiya enamel and 70% black tamiya enamel

It's tough to make capital ship models look good at that scale but you've pulled it off well.  Great paint work!

Holy moly!  That's teeny - and a great paint job, mate!  Sweet.  I have to get one of those.

I'm not familiar with the anime but it does look sharp. I know what you mean about making a tiny kit of a giant subject look good and you did a great job on it!

And it's pretty cool that Bandai went back and re-engineered the kit- big difference.

Those end results are amazing. But that size is sooo small. My hat is off to you, sir. Bravo!
