Star Wars GB round up
Posted by Bish on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 12:57 PM

Firstly, for those who took part in the GB, my apologies. The GB ended (officially) 2 months ago. I promisei would do this but a fe wthings got in the way, but, i get tehre in the end.

To everyone else. Last year, not such a long time ago, i hosted the Star Wars GB Ep II, certainly not all that far, far away. The GB was run into the lea up of the release of Star Wars Ep VII.

And so, the members of the FSM forum boldly set fourth (i know, differant franchise, just roll with it Wink) to enforce their respective factions. Many choose to join for the Glory of the Empire, there were some traitors amongst the group who will be dealt with in time.

And after all their efforts, we hads 18 completed builds, which i now present for your enlightment and perusal.

Rob S. - AMT TIE Fighters

modelcrazy - AMT  1/32nd Trade Federation Tank

Jibber – Fine Molds 1/72nd TIE/X1

Rigidrider -  MPC Speeder Bike

 Eagle90 – Revell Arc-170

Klik - Finemolds' 1/144th Millenium Falcon

BrandonK - Fine Molds 1/48th X-Wing

NucMechTec – Screamin 1/4 C3-PO

NucMechTec - Screamin 1/4 Chewbacca

OctaneOrange - AMT Pod racer

Porkbits - Bandai 1/72nd Y-Wing

ygmmodeler4 - Fine Molds 1/72nd Naboo Starfighter

Hogfanfs – MPC Star Destroyer

Silentbob33 - AT-AT on Hoth dio.

NucMechTec - Blue Moon 1/72nd Clawcraft

Porkbits Fine Molds 1/48th X-Wing

And finally, the efforts of the all powerful Sith Lord and Master (sorry, i meant to say modest and impartial host).

i.e. Me

Bish – Multi Verse Models 1/72nd TIE Bomber

Bish  Screamin 1/4 Stormtrooper

And tehre you are., A big huge thank you to all those who took part. For those who didn't, tut tut. But fear not, in just 10 months time, you have another chance. Gb Ep III will begin on Dec 16th and end on the release of Star Wars Ep VIII, currently set for May 26th 2017. So plenty of time to sharpen your light sabres and enhance your Jedi powers.

So, why not get ready to sign up.

Remember

Apoogese wil not be excepted, from Capt Needa or anyone else.

Bugger, when did that happen. I only checked a few weeks ago. But i thought it was a bit of a tight time frame when John Boyega mentioned at the BAFTA's on Sun he was starting shooting the next day.

Ok, time for a re think. Cheers Bruce.

Disney decided to realease the 5th installment of Pirates of the Caribbean on May 26th, and then release Episode 8 around Christmas time since Episode 7 did so well in December.

The crafty swine. I thought the May release was a good idea being 40 years after the original. O well, we wil just have to hold on a while longer. So, i am guessing we will be seeing Ep IX in Dec 2019.

Really sharp collection of models there guys, ya'll should be proud! And thanks Bish for posting this, I poked my head in the GB a few times to look around but didn't keep track of all the coolness going on.

Whenever the next SW GB is I might have to jump in with a little rebellion myself... Wink

Thank you for hosing, it was one of my more enjoyable builds.
Whenever you start the next one I’ll be there.
