I am home off work for the next several days trying to heal from the van wreck , and yesterday I got the big Hound from hasagawa in the same scale. I definitely have some ideas for that big dog.

Inspired by Bret's build I'm going to get some of those jewellery round headed pins that are flat vs curved on top. I will likely use Tenax7R  and get a good solid weld bead going....I often cheat and use this as part of the structure of the model. I don't know about using the hover slippers. They are part of the art, but the kit feet aren't much larger than the Pilots foot. That's a small surface area to Support such a large mechanic.

Good to hear you're in one piece!

I like that scheme, should look as good on the powered suit as it does on a tank.

Yeah....that really blew!  Super sore, I am.

I found this paint scheme, and I want to play with the colors. I can buy this for a ground machine more so than a grey/ green/light grey paint scheme like seen on a WW2 109.

I don't know about your kit but mine has some wicked ejector pin marks on some of the smaller parts.

I ordered my Grosserhund yesterday, so it will be here in a few days. I think once we get done with van shopping I will get to work on my work room, and getting that set up. I totalled my van friday night and I got the week off from my boss, so I have time.

Ti4019

This is basically what we know. There is very little consistency and huge gaps in the story.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maschinen_Krieger_ZbV_3000

Maschinen Kreuger has about the best devised timeline i have seen.

The colors tend to be either simplistic or based on German airplanes of WW2. I am honestly not sure how I will approach this

Thanks! Even if there are issues with the history they're just so cool you gotta love them.

Very cool, I still don't know much about the story behind the line but yeah the stuff is very cool looking. Looking forward to seeing what you do here.

When the kits came to America in the mid 80s most of us did not subcribe to Hobby Japan nor did we speak or read Japanese (my how times change!).

At that time we didnt quite know what to make of the SF3D line, which seemed almost like Nazi Germany INNNNN SPAAAAACE. Much of it had that flair with the Strahl uniforms, markings, Panzerfausts and paint schemes.

Looks interesting. I've not had the opportunity to build a Ma.k kit but I do like the designs. Looking forward to your build.

Ive been away a bit and want a new subject.  I have built Ma.K before, [beginning in 1985 with an AFS1 when the series was released and Squadron was carrying the original Nitto kits].

Its a box full of plastic, and its a split suit, which I really like.  Plus you get two drivers to go with the four paint options.  Im not thrilld with the rubber hoses, ill replace those in the time-honored way.  Ill also change the driver to suit my prefernces.

I know most of the action in the Ma.K storyline takes place in New Austrailia, with some action in parts of Indonesia.  I cant really find any good info on the RBV part of the storyline.

Im not so sure about thier paint callouts, starting with duck egg green, RLM dark grey and black green.  I dont care for the red devil octopus version either.  Ill come up with something.

Here's what I got today
