Pfffttt.... if you've done a bit of shopping around you can find one far less than $300 plus dollars for that kit. Scalehobbyist has it for $140... Whistling

Littletimmy,

I think it is about 41 inches long.  That makes it officially the longest model I have!  IIRC my current largest kit is 39 inches (GP-03 Dendrobium).  All the rest of my models are considerably smaller.

Now agonizing whether or not to wait for the resin interior kit or just make up a simple representative mock-up to fill that very clear window.  Maybe I'll just while the time away assembling all those tiny modules and make a decision when all the sub-components are done.

At $200 MSRP, the Discovery isn't cheap either.

Hi;

 Quite a few years ago at T.A.P. Plastics in Concord , Ca . They had a four inch high Monolith Dio on display . I thought it and the mini apes were neat and then went and bought the plastic I needed for the Clean Bay Build .

I'll think about it after I win the lottery, take care of my family, friends and charities.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Bah! It's not even life-size- only two feet / 60cm tall.....

If it were life-size I'd put it in the yard and I'd jump around it in a gorilla costume every now and then...

We have joked several times about building a kit of the Monolith from "2001- A Space Odessey".

Well, someone is actually marketing one, for only $320!
