Wow Steve, that is a cool shot. I see a lot of detailed painting and weathering going on. The deck looks nicely weathered and very real looking too. I think you are doing some really nice work here. I'd like to step into the picture to see what more you did.

Steve, those anchors look great. The wood looks like wood, the metal looks like metal. Nicely done.

I'm very impressed with your work on this build so far Steve. I am curious about the picture you posted two days ago which shows a square? looking deadeye and lanyard as you aimed the camera to the stern. Is it for the rigging on the mizzen mast?

those are just normal triple blocks bigjake . the deadeyes for the shrouds are in front of that rigging . I'm like you prob should know but don't know  the name of this rigging . prof. jtilley , or davidk . are prob better people to ask . I'm just following the instructions . sorry mate...............steve5

It's a little hard to tell from the photos, but I think the lines in question are the masthead pendants.

The rigging instructions in the Heller kit are awful. I always recommend that anybody tackling this kit get hold of a copy of Dr. R.C. Anderson's The Rigging of Ships in the Days of the Spritsail Topmast. It's an old classic - currently available in cheap paperback form.

Um, I do have o say that I'm a bit flummoxed (and utterly impressed) by the fact that you've only begun this thread less than a month ago, yet your hull is complete and you're a good bit into masting and rigging...it defies several laws of physics.

Keep it up, by this measure you should be finished with her in 3-5 days!  lol

Seriously, though...keep up the good work!  You're helping to remove a certain stigma.

thank's jtilley , I think your right I've just got an awful memory , I have andersen's book on download , but gee I'm having trouble deciphering it , guess I'm more of a visual bloke .
