Hi Mark,

Another fine line of work coming from your bench.  This kit it is quite unique in how its constructed. There sure were a lot of screws in that hull.

Thanks Scott. Thought I would need a Srewdriver more than I needed Glue.

Your Yamato looks beautiful so far!  I have been curious about this kit and am looking forward to this thread.  That Pontos detail set should help render this excellent kit a true work of art.

Hey, a question for you (or anyone that may know) I'm currently working on this build as well and noticed the following decals provided with the Pontos deck:

I have looked everywhere (other builds, Kure model, etc) and have never seen anyone place the deck numbers that Pontos has provided.

Does anyone know if these are correct or incorrect to add?

I looked them up on various Sites and they appear to be Frame Damage Markers for the Deck. They are not Decals either as they are Dry Transfers. You will need to burnish them down and not treat them like Decals or it could cause some problems.....Cheers mark

If you come across any photos or links on it that would be great.  Are you going to apply them on your build?

Lookin' real good Mark. Ya see.....this is the reason I don't build ships. A friggin auto model takes me in the upwards of 6-7 months to complete. I can't imagine how long one of these would take. lol

Well this ship is turning out just fine so far. But I do have a question: Since you made her 'full hull' and have the screws added on and the hull slightly weathered; are you putting her in water? I figure you're not. Looking forward to the remainder of this build.

I am going to mount her on a Stand instead of a Water Base.....Cheers Mark

Glad to see you back at the bench Mark. Others have already said how different this beast is constructed vs. the older model like the one I have. Great work so far!
