Members if you are interested in having your U.S. Marine model displayed in the National Museum of the Marine Corps please respond to this link:

For members wondering if the U.S. Marine Corps has ships, they don't but they do utilize the U.S. Navy for land - sea invasions with all types of amphibious assault vessels like operation Starlight seen below heading for Chu Lai beachhead in Vietnam on June 24, 1965.

Is the Marine Corps museum system governed by the requirements and specifications of the Curator of Naval Ship Models for donations to their museums?

https://www.navsea.navy.mil/Home/Warfare-Centers/NSWC-Carderock/Resources/Curator-of-Navy-Ship-Models/

The requirements for materials and methods is quite extensive.

There is also a caution on the use of lead products due to "lead rot".

Ed, I cannot say for sure, but reading the submission criterion on the National Museum of the Marine Corps website it does not mention the Curator of Naval Ship Models. Here is a link to the information: https://www.usmcmuseum.com/make-a-donation.html .
