Time for another update. Her Mainmast has been Base Painted with detail painting to come. Her Funnel has been added and some Washes have started to bring out some of her Detail. more to come soon.....Cheers mark

       This Mates, Is what I was alluding to in my Post about wood decks. See how this construct guides the eye the length of the ship? See how it enhances already Damn Fine Work? It works for a specific reason. The planks on the deck are obviously there. BUT, there isn't little breaks in the length to denote individual Planks.  If there is they are by rights almost invisible to the camera.

         See how they enhance the Colors? The neatness of the Build. That's because this builder has got it spot on. I hope he tells us where he got his Wood Decks. That's one set I WOULD USE.

Very nice build.

Before you get too far into the rigging and acess becomes a problem, I suggest you paint the footropes on the spar some color. I'm going to guess they were wire rope.

Her Bow area is now complete. They give you the option of Moulded or P/E Railings. I chose the Moulded Railings as they are more inscale than the 1 dimensional P/E Railings. Am very happy with how she is going together. Will have some more for you soon.....Cheers mark

I love to both build and study that era.  Progress in nautical architecture and engineering crept forward at such a slow pace in the previous two centuries, then jumped forward at such a dizzy pace in the mid to late 19th century, not just propulsion but guns, armor, metal construction.

So do I. It is very different from the previous Centuries and a different Build for me. It is really enjoyable and not the Drab Colours of Eras from each side of this Era......Cheers Mark

Her Fore and Mid Sections are basically Rigged and completed. This is oine finnicky Vessel to rig. More to come soon.....Cheers Mark

Her Stern Area is now mostly done. Some weathering will be added. Her Props Shafts and Rudder are now also installed. Not much more to go like installing her remaining Boats and her Ratlines. Will have more for you soon.....Cheers Mark
