Giant submarines - query
Posted by jtilley on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 3:10 PM

The Squadron website is announcing an interesting batch of new kits from Hobbyboss, including a 1/350 Soviet Typhoon-class submarine.

The description says the Typhoon-clas subs were/are "far the largest human built submarines."

Can somebody fill me in? I wasn't aware that any other species was building submarines. If the hyenas or Tasmanian devils are operating a naval shipyard, we may have a problem.

I believe the whales have something in the works.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Yet another reason why I hope the Charles W. Mogan never sails again. If the sperm whales decide to take their revenge by firing a spread of torpedoes at her....

Remember the movie where one of the actors liquid breathes to the bottom of the tench and the alien ship brings him to the surface and the whole task group/rescue fleet is high and dry on the decks of the craft????

There you go.

That was "The Abyss" made me laugh as on one decompressed, small plot hole fixed by someone saying "its ok the aliens fixed it".

Maybe the Predators have an under water version - who would win between a Predator and a shark?

Yes, aliens are building submarines in the Bermuda Triangle. That's why ships disappear there so much; they're in need of experienced crewmen.

Who would win between a Predator and a shark?

The Alien!

On saying that, Sigourney kicked the Alien's ass & no doubt Sigourney's mother in turn kicked her ass, so ultimately Elizabeth Inglis would kick the ass of the whole lot;

Ok if we're talking mom's it has to be Chuck Norris's.

Talking of US forms those of us who aren't citizens used to have to fill in a little green card to enter the country that asked "Are you a spy?" and "Where you a member of the Nazi party between 1939 and 1945" both of which gave me a laugh. I never did tick the box to say yes
