Hi. I joined here a couple of months back. If you're interested, I'm documenting this build on YouTube.

Let me know what you think so far. Criticism is very welcome if I'm making any mistakes!

Thanks

Dan

Dan,

Your Titanic looks very good so far. Your mastery of PE is way more accomplished than I can hope to achieve and I'm envious.

I wonder if you'd mind posting a picture or two here on FineScale? Not that I didn't enjoy watching your videos but this site can be helpful to many even without watching the movies of your build. I personally believe that showing still images can help some folks like me who need to contemplate a single picture for a while to take in some of the  techniques that may be represented in that image.

In any case, really nice work and I look forward to more from you on the Titanic.

Thank you. I'm ashamed to admit that I can't work out how to post pictures on here!! Any pointers? I have a few to put up of the early stages of the build if I can figure out how!

Please excuse for my absence. Our little girl was born at the start of January and then I decided to build a bespoke desk in my modelling room so I've been a bit pre-occupied! (link to video of the desk build - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FTZGUFLp8U )

Anyway, here are some recent pictures of this build. I have also run into an issue. Now the three decks are together and the superstructure sides are in place the entire assembly has a bend in it. Now normally I can get around this but as it's fully assembled and painted I have backed myself into a corner. When I put the assembly onto the hull the two ends meet but the centre part stands a good 1cm clear. Its s solid that it requires a LOT of pressure to correct which I just can't see glue and clamping solving. Any ideas are very much appreciated!

Thanks and I'll update this post again soon.

Ah, I see you did get a thread going. Can you post a pic of the warped section?

Hi

For whatever reason I'm still unable to upload pictures. Very frustrating. Any ideas why not?

Please excuse the lack of updates. New baby and busy time of year at work hasn't made it easy to put knif to plastic!

However,I have finished the Titanic. This is the link to the 4th and final build video on YouTube.
