Don’t know, but Nichimo did a 1/200 Yamato back in the 1970s.  So it is entirely possible.

I have searched the Trumpiter website , nothing about it there.

But I have heard the same "Rumor", just don't know where I heard it from.

If it does make it to production, it's going to cost around $300.

It would make sense to me. They have produced the most well known battleships from all the major players except Japan. Why not? Just wish they would hurry up already. LOL

Well, They have the 18" gun Turret in 1/200 and now they also released a bridge:

I guess if we wait we can build the ship from parts as they piecemeal them out.

I recall earlier this year seeing a substantiated report that a 1/200 kit of Yamato wil be coming out-soon. However, I can no longer find that link.

Another post I was involved in stated: "Kitted by Wave (same Japanese company that released 1/200 Mikasa)..., moulded by Trumpeter ..."

 Maybe released for Christmas?

Well that's something. Buy 3 turrets, build them. Then buy the bridge and wait for the next part. LOL They are killing me with anticipation. A whisper here ,a rumor there. Toping my 1/200 wish list are the Yamato and the USS Regan. Working on the Missouri now . Have the Enterprise on pre-order and probably get the Arizona next. Love to build big!
