Cut out a piece if plastic to protect the deck from overspray.

 That is wood , correct ? If so it's well done . I have some Billings kits and they have vacuformed hulls .

After the blue dries,I will apply a 1/8" strip of masking tape to the hull followed by a few coats of orange.

Plus 35 other plastic and wood ship kits.

I cut a slot in the masts to connect directly  to the keel.
