Thanks for the info. I thought it would be fun to build some Russian ships for something different. Recently bought the Oryol and would like to get the GP as well. I'll have to post some build photos when I do them. Cheers!

I have both of those kits, the Oryol #40007, and the Goto Predestinatsia #40006. I've peeked in the box, but not built them. Still in the bags. They are moulded in Brown, Tan and black plastic, with grey vinyl ratlines and a piece of fabric for sails. The instructions are just exploded diagrams. Got them at the monthly auction at the local IPMS club meeting. They came from super plastic ship builder, Rod Millard I think. Apparently he didn't want to do them. EJ

Russian Ark ship models.

Has anyone ever built the Russian "Ark" models of the early frigate "Oryol" or the ship of the line "Goto Predestinatsia"? They seem like fairly accurate models and definitely fill an interesting niche.
