Very nicely done so far Steve. A couple of things that come to mind. Do not worry about having problems with P/E. I have been using P/E for over 20 Years and still make stuff ups. Is the Msainmast slightly off centre..?? If so should not be hard to correct. Besides that keep up the good work Mate.....Cheers markj

Just because people haven't said anything doesn't mean there's no interest. There are plenty of ship builders out there. Keep posting.

Nice job Steve, the PE and rigging look great.

Ditto

Like Jeff said.

Nicely done.

As to dropping a pic out, go to edit post and put your flashing vertical bar icon at the bottom right of the pic and hit backspace.  Pic should go away,  just don't get too agressive with backspace of you'll drop the next one up.

The base is fantastic, is that cordovan? It is a perfect contrast for your green hull. Outstanding!

Ziggy

Thanks Jeff , Ziggy . The colour chart gave you either red or green . I know the italians , used to have green so l didn't think it was too out of context .

thankyou marcus - I agree , I am really liking these HB kit's they go together really well , no flash and not a lot of sanding . are you going to post your lord nelson here too ? would love to see it .

Steve5,

I haven't visit this forum for a while and just now seen your posting.  Looks like a nice clean build, I really like the color choices.  Those Hobbyboss kits from that time era are really nice kits and easy to build.  I am building the Lord Nelson and it has been a real enjoyable build.

I digging those cranes, nice work.

I find long ladders like that difficult because I sometimes get them slightly bent and can't get them back to the original shape.

got the ladders on the stacks , and stacks in , will have to touch up some paint as the CA glue whitened in places

got the cranes together , could not use the PE cable , just fell apart on me , so I made some stretched sprue instead , also one of the very little PE hook and chains made a successful escape , no hope of finding it , unfortunately .

Hi,

I agree with JeffPez.  I have been watching this build with interest.  I think that ships of this era are fascinating, and I can't wait to see more of this build.

thanks guys . bit of an update . nothing is glued yet , the paint scheme is a bit unusual . it's also a bit hard to follow , it gives you two options for the hull red or green , I went with the green and lightened it up a bit . it also says to use dk sea grey for the sides X50 , which is a dk blue colour dk sea grey is X54 , which I also lightened a bit by about 15% . the deck gives the colour mr colour sc06 which I couldn't find , and went with the closest i could , will have to do a bit of weathering to tone it done a bit .

jeffpez

I love ships from that era. Good luck and keep us posted.

I love them too.  Been thinking of picking up one of those.  I've built the Dreadnought and the Lord Nelson.  Be nice to add a French ship to that pair.

this looks like a fun build , little bit of PE . under 500 parts .

still got a bit of sanding to do

started some of the PE , as it's the same co;our as the hull .

the PE is wafer thin , haveing trouble cutting it without distorting the metal , then I remembered I had this little guy , its a life saver
