Lovely display with the lighting and the colors. But it will still encourage the cats to get up on the shelves. Those are considered very safe areas to nest for a cat.
I have built a few cat trees and put them througout the house and these have kept the cats off my display shelves. A cat tree gives them their own area that they can feel safe and can do whatever they please on it. I change out the toys and move the platforms around on a regular basis to keep them interested. I also place them in front of windows so they stay occupied on whats going outside the house more than what is on the inside.
