I would like that.

Plenty to see here.

Proud navy area.

I Think;

   I do believe it was under the Doyle Drive bridge for about three years. After that  I never got to Fort Miley before I left the area.

How many bottles of AK Interactive 5-N will it take, Bill? I was trying to remember, prior to 2005. Was the bridge over at Mare Island or was it in the Presidio?

I seem to remember it was in a corporation yard under Doyle Drive viaduct?

Bill,

Being from the Bay Area myself, I've been there several times.  It is a serene location.

That is a fantastic concept. I'll never get that way, thank you for sharing it.

I was up in San Francisco yesterday and went out to Land's End to visit the USS San Francisco Memorial.

Here's a link to the organization that created the Memorial and maintains it.

It is truly extraordinary in concept, to be able to step onto the bridge. and think about the history it represents.

Sitting in Fort Miley, which is currently closed, the serenity and quiet of the spot is very moving.

Here are some photos.
