Anyone tried White Ensign's PE deck for Revell 1/72 U-Boat?

Has anyone purchased or used the White Ensign Models new PE set for the Revell 1/72-scale U-Boat? It has the torpedo tube doors (fore & aft) and a number of other interesting items not featured in the Model Brass PE set or the Nautilus wood/resin deck set. What has your experience been with this set?

Sad [:(] It seems one has to buy all 3 sets in order to get all the details one might want (the wood paneling in the CT, the limber holes at bow & stern, the tube doors and radar-type devices). Angry [:(!] Unfortunately, a lot of details are duplicated by each kit. At $30+ USD this can quickly become a very costly and wasteful exercise!Dead [xx(]

Comments, reviews, comparisons, etc. from some modelers (other than the designers, manufacturers and distributors of the setsEvil [}:)]) would be welcome Sign - Welcome [#welcome] and helpful Bow [bow] to those of us trying to decide what to purchaseConfused [%-)] in order to super-detail Approve [^] the U-Boat.

BUMP to the top. I am also interested in opinions on which Detail Set to buy, if you can get only 1. Are there others besides Brassworks, White Ensign, and Nautilis(Wood)?

I got the White Ensign set and the Model Brass set.

In general they don't duplicate much, just the diving tank valves and foot rings on the periscope stand. Where they duplicate, White Ensign's work is more delicate, better looking, and more accurate.

I personally find Model Brass's brass decks better and more accurate looking than Nautilis's wooden ones. The wooden ones were just too thick for scale. When pained it would look no better than original plastic deck with holes drilled through. Modelbrass's deck look much more accurate.

The resin hatches the would have come with Nautilius is no big loss. If you buy Model brass, you won't need the origainl plastic decks any more, so I used a drummel tool to cut the hatches out of the revell deck, cleaned it up, and installed it on the Model Brass deck. I also added the hatch hinges and handwheels from White Ensign. I don't think the resin hatches would have looked much better.

Greetings!
I'm currently gathering/researching to build this kit. I had bought the White Ensign's PE set off Ebay and the seller just sent me this email with the WE torpedo loading set

I hope this link will work! First time trying it!
Anyway, this set looks great
