Digger,

At last count, I had 13 books on the Iowas, including an original set of builder's plans...

I don't need much more information on them, thanks.

If you are going for history & pictures, you can go for Paul Stillwell's"Battleship Missouri" by Naval Institue Press, ISBN1-55750-780-5. Detail operational history, lots of pictures. As for colour photo, there is this web site, hmmm... let me see, I have it at my work place. I'll post it when I get back to office.

Not much with color photos, Sumerall's Iowa Class Battleships is your best bet. However, if you're building a model, you want Floating Drydock's USS Missouri plan book. It has detailed drawings of all the fittings...and at $43 US, it's still cheaper than Sumerall's book. You'll get more out of it if you're'building a model.

Best,

Can anyone recommend a book on the Missouri?

I have schematics already, so am looking for a pictorial one
Preferably with colour pictures.

Thanks,
