Latest Project on the work bench

The Structure is just about complete and the Destiny Module needs a few more targets, thenn it's onto the JEM.

I wasn't happy with the way Destiny came out.  The finish was too dark, so I stripped it and repainted it.

Working on Node 2 and Shuttle Docking System now.

How is the kit quality? Saw that kit at my local shop...been thinking about picking it up. Is it easy to reconfigure any components? I know the station changes configuration occasionally.

Quality is typical Revell.  Some flash, ejector pins marks.

Slow progress.  Atlantis is complete.  Destiny is complete after repainting again for the 3rd time.  I think it looks good now.

That's looking awesome. Wish I'd bought the kit now. I wanted to fibreoptic it and hang it from the bedroom ceiling, My wife suggested if I did she would hang ME from the ceiling. Keep up the good work, following with interest.

All the best.

This project is looking VERY cool. It needs to be displayed hanging from the ceiling. It's certainly worthy of being Art. I talked my wife into hanging a racing motorcycle from the ceiling and she's liking it. Make a statement we say!

Working on final configuration.  The kit came with 3 Soyuz Space Craft, and I wanted one more, so I quickly designed one in Catia the printed it.  5 hours later, I have a 4th Soyuz.

Slow progress but steady.  I've got the solar panels figured out.  I ended up printing new structures and will use .01 sheet styrene covered with reflective paper.  Gold on 1 side, silver painted with clear blue on the other.

Oops, I'd somehow lost track of this build that I was following early on. Wow! nice job (and presentation) for sure. Being a space nut, that would really look good in my basement!
