Scratch Built 1/12 Mercury Redstone

I've been planning this for some time and started on her the end of January.  Launch Table is complete, and the Tail Unit is ready for the thousands of rivets.

I plan on building the Atomic City Mercury Capsule to sit on top dressed as Gus Grissom's Liberety Bell 7.

Very impressive start. Excellent work. I can't wait to see more. If my math is correct it should measure somewhere in the neighborhood of 83 inches?

I have asperations to build a 1/72 Saturn. That will be an undertaking but nothing like this beast.

Looks great.  I will be following this thread closely. Real space is one of the genre that I do scratch occasionally.

That's exquisite.

Are you planning on keeping the parts separate in case they need to be moved?

Since it's likely for be about 7' tall and all.

Yes.  All sections will come apart.  The Capsule will be lit.
