Finally finished up my TIE Interceptor, now it's on to my next project:

Recently visited NASA and picked up a couple of patches and coins. I'm going to ultimately mount the model to a wood base and incorporate a patch and coin combo. Think I'll use the Challenger Mission Patch and the 30th Anniversary Coin.

Now...I started sanding on the seams of the fuel tank and got to thinking that maybe I should sand the whole thing smooth (mostly anyway) and then use styrene strip and piping to add detail back. It sure would give it some great depth..I don't know, thoughts?

Update:

I don't want to think about how much time I've spent sanding. I think I may have gotten over ambitious with this but oh well, it's been fun so far. I have sanded the ET smooth and reworked the intertank area and also started working on where the upper lines will run.

interesting project. looks like a mad project to add that much detail to a small model. I hope you can keep motivated to finish it off.

that last shot of the ET looks like you are going to add windows to make it a SF spaceship.
